Sustainability Manager
We are a team of experts with a strong legacy in soft flooring. We create, develop and manufacture durable floor coverings for premium commercial and residential applications.
We have 4 premium brands: ITC, Modulyss, Arc Edition and Bentley. Our 1,100 colleagues work at our headquarters in Waregem or at one of our production sites in Tielt, Zele or Los Angeles.
Together we form “the people from Belysse”.
Your responsibilities
As Sustainability Manager you are part of the Sustainability & Strategic Projects Team and further develop the overall company strategy into a concrete sustainability policy.
- You manage the sustainability aspects to be in line with the relevant regulations (e.g. CSRD) but also drive concrete improvements with an effective positive impact on CO2, energy consumption, water, and circularity, in close cooperation with the Product Development, R&D, Operations and HSE teams in our European and US business
- You initiate programs to meet regulatory standards and/or specific customer requirements for sustainability,
- You develop sustainable solutions and are involved in obtaining relevant sustainability certifications (e.g. Cradle to Cradle, Ecovadis, environmental product declarations),
- You monitor KPIs and report on our sustainability performance, and you prepare sustainability audits of external auditors and customers,
- You work weekly from our production sites in Zele and Tielt.
Your talents
- You are passionate about sustainability
- You have experience as Sustainability Manager or you have an (industrial/ bio) engineering background and wish to further develop our sustainability policy
- You are analytically strong and think project oriented
- Experience with sustainability certifications is definitely a plus
- You are curious and keep up to date with sustainability legislation and/or policy abroad (Belysse sells products worldwide)
- You can apply external sustainability trends and requirements to the business and see their potential impact
- You come up with innovative ideas and want to contribute to more sustainable products and production processes
- You are a fluent communicator
