Yarns play a crucial role in shaping the overall look, texture, and performance of a carpet. We specialise in working with high-quality synthetic yarns that are designed to meet the demands of even the most challenging environments. In addition to their durability, we strive to make our yarns as sustainable as possible.

Polyamide (PA)

Polyamide yarn, also known as nylon yarn, offers numerous advantages. It is incredibly strong and durable, with excellent resistance to crushing and foot traffic, offering superior overall performance and longevity. Despite its strength, it remains lightweight and soft.

At Belysse, we take pride in producing polyamide yarn in-house, utilising cutting-edge machinery from start to finish. This allows us to ensure superior quality, fast production and greater design possibilities for our carpets.

Solution-dyed polyamide

Solution-dyed PA is a type of polyamide yarn which combines the desirable properties of polyamide, such as strength and durability, with the added benefits of excellent colourfastness and resistance to fading. Because colour pigments are added to the polymer solution before it is extruded into filament or fibre form, the colour becomes an intrinsic part of the fibre. This results in vibrant, long-lasting and colourfast yarns.

Polyester (PES)

Polyester is another type of synthetic fibre, but from a different composition than polyamide. Polyester yarn is inherently stain-resistant and is known for its softness and luxurious feel.

Polypropylene (PP)

Polypropylene yarn is a synthetic yarn made from polypropylene fibres. It is valued for its lightweight nature, resistance to moisture and stains, and its cost-effectiveness.

Wool

Wool is a natural fibre derived from sheep. Wool yarn is known for its premium feel, natural warmth, and excellent insulating properties.
